SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “Pro Bowl” Edition

by Steeldad

Happy Hump Day Steelers’ Fans!! Christmas is right around the corner and this year that means more than just presents right?

Despite my utter disdain for the Pro Bowl, I genuinely understand the significance of why it’s so important for players to be selected. It truly is a great honor. This year the Steelers had five players selected. Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger, David DeCastro, Le’Veon Bell and Maurkice Pouncey.

I honestly believe that Brown and Bell were locks while arguments could have made against the other three for a variety of reasons. Those arguments don’t matter however and all five will hopefully be skipping that to play in the Super Bowl instead.

Steelers’ Head Coach Mike Tomlin said yesterday that Ladarius Green remains in concussion protocol while Stephon Tuitt has a chance to play Sunday with his sprained knee. If Tuitt can get himself to about 75% of his normal ability I would take it. His presence is that important in my opinion. Shamarko Thomas has been dealing with a knee issue but could go Sunday. He’s a vital part of the special teams in my opinion.

Have you seen the final installment of ‘Nail the Number?’ You don’t want to miss this!!!

Tweet of the Day… VWill chimes in on the Pro Bowl.

I was never big on it anyway but I refuse to wear the color purple. I don’t even like it being around me.

I’ve done a little film review from the game Sunday. I found myself watching Vontaze Burfict. I encourage you if you can, go back and see all of the crap he does that doesn’t get noticed on TV. It’s disgusting.

Good friend Craig Scott is in the midst of his “12 Days of Coffee Christmas.” I highly suggest you check out his twitter timeline @craigscott31. If more people gave back like he does the world would be a better place.

Antonio Brown has just two career TD receptions against the Ravens. I think he adds to that Sunday.

Mike Mitchell and Steve Smith are going to go at it at some point Sunday. Mitchell has to be smart enough not to retaliate though. The Steelers can’t afford bad penalties or worse, an ejection.

Have a great Wednesday Steeler Nation!
