Good Wednesday to you Steelers fans.
As we learned yesterday, the Governor of Pennsylvania eased restrictions on outdoor gatherings. This means Steelers Nation will finally be able to enter the glorious confines of Heinz Field beginning this Sunday. Now before you get your chair ready to save a parking spot, there will be no tailgating in the parking lot and we are only talking about 5,500 people who will be allowed in. I suppose I could throw a tantrum about just 5,500 people getting in but I won’t. This is a start and hopefully it’s putting the right foot forward towards more fans returning. At this time, season ticket holders who did not opt out for this year will be given first dibs on tickets. Art Rooney II acknowledged yesterday that they may have issues getting all of those folks in so anyone looking for general admission type tickets is going to be out of luck. It’ll just be good to see butts in seats again in Heinz Field.
This Isn’t Good
As of this morning, New All-Pro Defensive Back Stephon Gillmore had tested positive for Covid. The Patriots will not practice today. Also, two more Tennessee Titans’ players have also tested positive and… there is a yet unconfirmed report that a Raider has tested positive too. I was in the camp of “It’s not the Titans’ fault” and was happy to see the game re-scheduled. If they don’t play again this week then I believe these two games should be forfeits. If you can’t field a team that’s on you.
Tweet of the Day…. Derrick did a terrific profile of Lance earlier this year.
Breaking: North Dakota State QB Trey Lance (@treylance09) is declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft. He tells @YahooSports he's leaving NDSU to focus on training. Lance is a projected first-round pick and the most intriguing prospect in the upcoming draft. https://t.co/Gr1qiOnf7w

Titanic Clash
Sunday will give us another look at two All-Pros going at it in the trenches when David DeCastro lines up across from the Eagles’ Fletcher Cox. Much like what makes a great rivalry, what makes this a great battle is that both players can claim wins and losses. When DeCastro stymies him or when Cox gets past DeCastro it’s a notch in their respective belts and it’s great football for us to watch!
Diontae
Steelers’ wide receiver Diontae Johnson is no longer in concussion protocol and will play on Sunday. There is no question the Steelers’ offense looked a little ‘discombobulated’ when he left the game against Houston. That’s not a know on the receivers by any stretch either. It just goes to show much receivers depend on each other to get open and to make plays. When someone goes down in-game, adjustments are made on the fly and not always do they click. Very good to have Johnson back on the field this weekend.
