Why do I do this every year? I really have no idea. But then again why do we do all these Mock Drafts right? The National Football League announced this morning that they will be releasing the schedule Thursday night at 8pm. If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering when the release of the NFL schedule became ‘must-see TV.’ I honestly don’t know but what I can tell you is that it’s further proof that no matter what happens, the NFL still rules pro sports in America.
On to my “Steelers’ mock schedule…”
Week 1: Cleveland Browns 1pm – Opening with the Browns? Why not? Seems like it happens each year.
Week 2: @Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1pm – I expect some warm and humid temps for this one.
Week 3: @Oakland Raiders 405pm – The Steelers make what is likely their final trip to the Black Hole.
Week 4: Baltimore Ravens 1pm – Ravens hate week rolls in.
Week 5: @Cincinnati Bengals 830pm MNF – Burfict will be back from suspension so it just seems right.
Week 6: Los Angeles Chargers 1pm – One last battle between Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger?
Week 7: BYE WEEK – Take care of the bumps and bruises.
Week 8: @Jacksonville Jaguars 425pm – I hate the term “revenge game” but I expect more than we gave in the playoffs.
Week 9: Kansas City Chiefs 830pm SNF – These two have hooked up for several memorable games in recent years.
Week 10: Atlanta Falcons 1pm – Hard to tell which guy will show up. Matty Ice or Matty Puddles?
Week 11: @Baltimore Ravens 830pm MNF – These two almost always have one primetime game.
Week 12: Carolina Panthers 1pm – They meet every year in the preseason but this one counts.
Week 13: @New Orleans Saints 830 TNF – A little primetime action down on the bayou.
Week 14: @Denver Broncos 405pm – Back to Denver where the Steelers are just 1-4 in their last 5.
Week 15: New England Patriots 425pm – Another late season match-up with the hated Pats.
Week 16: Cincinnati Bengals 1pm – Will Burfict be active or suspended? I’m taking bets.
Week 17: @Cleveland Browns 1pm – A finale against the Browns? Cheap tickets though right?
