This week on the WPIAL Blitz Show we had the opportunity to interview Freeport Head Coach John Gaillot. Coach Gaillot graduated from Freeport back in the late 80s and was hired as the head coach in 2008. He has led the Yellow Jackets to the playoffs 8 times in the last 12 seasons, including a run to the semifinals in 2015. Freeport missed two games earlier this season due to a COVID exposure but came back last week to beat archrival Burrell 38-18. This was Freeport’s 11th victory over Burrell in Coach Gaillot’s 13 seasons. The Yellow Jackets take on undefeated North Catholic this week for the top spot in the Allegheny Seven Conference in the season finale this week.
