Good Monday to You Steelers’ Fans!
It’s been three weeks now since our team was actually in action but the news never stops. I’ll get to that in a second because like you, I’m literally sick to my stomach at the thought of New England in yet another Super Bowl. Deep down you knew it was coming didn’t you? This season was total failure in Pittsburgh with only one exception; we finally beat the Patriots. That doesn’t mean anything now that they will go for their sixth ring while the Black and Gold are mired in a funk we haven’t seen in some while.
I continue to believe that instant replay has ruined officiating. Officials are constantly looking over their shoulders and it has made them much less consistent. Keep in mind that for decades we didn’t use replay and while there were missed calls, the number and severity of those calls are now worse than ever. I take no comfort in seeing the Saints lose in a similar way that we lost to them either. The bottom line is that the NFL officiating needs a complete overhaul.
Tweet of the Day… This is a really poor tweet by Fort. I don’t really care how he meant it either. Chris Boswell has won far more games than he’s lost for the Steelers. Fort may have stated a mere fact here but I think there’s more to it than that.

I will not use the fact that Kansas City’s offense never got a chance yesterday to beg for changes to the overtime rules. I’ve always said an extra quarter needs to be played and should it be tied after that then sudden death it is. And don’t gimme this crap about “player safety.” If the league really cared about that would they be considering an 18-game schedule?
We hear there is Bud Dupree news coming and most won’t like it.
Tony Romo is the best thing to happen to color commentary since John Madden. His enthusiasm and expertise is head and shoulders above anyone else.
The Steelers were informed earlier today they will NOT being playing in Mexico in 2019. The NFL has chosen the Chiefs and Chargers instead. They will not be going to the UK either. (Sorry Greg)
