SCB Steelers Quick Hitters: The “Outlaw Moves” Edition

Good Monday to you Steelers’ Fans.

It’s been easy to forget in all of the recent hullabaloo that the Steelers have some significant free agent issues to resolve. One of those deals with tight end Jesse James. It was reported this weekend that Buffalo and Jacksonville might be willing to shell out ‘starting tight end money’ in an effort to make the Outlaw move on to them. If that happens James is gone. The Steelers will not pony up that kind of money for James who has been a durable and highly professional player. The problem is that Outlaw is not a number one tight end in the NFL. He’s a very good number two, but not a number one. While I would love to see him return I cannot blame him if he leaves. He was the first after all to refer to the 2018 season as “The Kardashian’s” so I think we know where he stands on locker room issues. Should James move on that would leave the Steelers with just one TE (Vance McDonald) under contract. So for those suggesting that we shouldn’t be looking at tight ends in the draft…? Think again. We should be either way.

There are two things I want to say about what is happening with Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft. First, it should be an alarm to all of us that no one, despite how infallible someone may seem, that we have all issues of one kind or another. Kraft should be embarrassed and should be apologizing but allegedly he showed up at an Oscar Party yesterday so apparently his self-confidence is just fine. Secondly is the issue of human trafficking. These women, largely believed to be from China, live inside the spa. They sleep on the massage tables and cook their food behind the building. This continues to be a massive problem in our world.

Tweet of the Day… Here’s your only take today on the Oscar’s. LOL

Make sure you check out our latest draft profiles by clicking right here. Cnic, Greg and our newest contributor Eli are cranking them out for you!

Both Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell our up social media posts asking fans where they should go. Need attention much fellas? Sheesh.

Since I mentioned free agency in the opening let me once again bring it up. The Steelers will have more cap space then they’ve had in many years which is leading many to believe that they will be major players in free agency. While that could be, understand that no matter what Kevin Colbert and company do it won’t be good enough for some in the Steeler Nation. Be patient, let’s see how things shake out first.

OK so I have to admit some of the Robert Kraft memes were absolutely hilarious. There, I said it.

Have a great day Steeler Nation!
