Good Wednesday to you Steelers fans.
Here’s the truth. None of us know if new Offensive Line Coach Pat Meyer will do a great job or if he won’t. I don’t know, you don’t know and not even Mike Tomlin knows. Am I skeptical? Yeah, to a degree. He’s had some solid lines in his time with Buffalo, Chicago, Carolina and the LA Chargers but how he fits in with Matt Canada’s offense will remain a mystery for the next several months. Did I want to see a bigger hire? I did. I was really hoping for someone either at the college or pro level who had a lot of experience with offensive styles similar to what Canada does. I also wanted a guy with a history of being able to adjust with the flow of the game and counter what the defense was doing. Meyer very well could meet those demands and frankly I hope that’s the case. His success will likely lead to the success of the unit overall. That’s the truth.
Tweet of the Day… Far too long since I posted a pic from the great Dave DiCello.
Went out to capture moonset today, and for the second day in a row, the clouds rained on my parade (though not literally). However before the clouds rolled in, the view was pretty incredible from the Hot Metal Bridge, with #Pittsburgh and the moon reflecting in the Mon River. pic.twitter.com/Io8N98lctE

Cam’s The Man
He may not have won the NFL’s coveted Man of the Year Award at last week’s NFL honors but Cam Heyward has cemented himself as the man in Pittsburgh as far as I’m concerned. He comprises all of the things we love in the Steel City and while I wish he would have won I know I’m one of many who truly appreciate him.
The Quarterbacks
I’ve spent time recently looking at Kenny Pickett, Malik Willis and Sam Howell. All three of these quarterbacks have been rumored to be targets of the Steelers. Howell was mocked to the Steelers today at number 10 in Chad Reuter’s mock draft at NFL.com yesterday. First, I can’t see the Steelers trading up for anyone especially if it means trading a future number one as Reuter suggests. Secondly, this quarterbacks class isn’t close to the ones we’ve seen in recent years. I’m not saying that these three or others behind them can’t be NFL QBs but there are a lot of issues with each guy. Pickett’s arm strength is a question mark. Willis’ accuracy is a question mark. Howell has a huge wind-up and looks to run way too much for me. Much more to research on them and many others but that’s my take for now.
