Good Monday to you Steelers fans.
The closer we get to the 2021 NFL Draft the greater the debate over whether the Pittsburgh Steelers should take a running back or offensive lineman in the first round. Most are of the mind that whatever the team chooses in round one they’ll select the other in round two. You know and I know that things are never this simple. The Steelers will have a ‘big board’ like most other teams and if a player at another position falls to them (who is higher on their board) but isn’t at one of those two positions then I suggest you are prepared. Here’s an example. We know the team desperately needs help at RB and OL but what if they have an EDGE rusher very high on their board and he falls to them? What if it’s one of the top WRs? But then we must consider the potential for trades. Could they move up to grab someone? Could they move down and grab some extra picks? There’s a lot of ‘what-ifs’ but that’s why the Draft is what it is. If you forced me to give you answer right now, ten days out from the Draft, I’d say we are going RB in round one. My personal belief however is that we should go O-Line but I understand fans’ points. We haven’t exactly drafted RBs well recently in the middle rounds. This is becoming a massive debate and it won’t stop until the pick is announced.
Tweet of the Day… Here’s some food for thought on the issue.
*whispers*
maybe it's the offensive line
*imagines Lev Bell trying to use his "patient" style behind what's become of the Steelers line*

Voluntary Workouts
Last week the Steelers joined a growing list of teams who chose not to attend voluntary workouts. For those of you that are upset by this and are screaming that this will be the downfall of the 2021 season… Relax. The Super Bowl Champion Bucs skipped workouts last year and things turned out fine for them. Most of these workouts are geared towards younger players and players that are coming back from injuries. In other words, don’t lose sleep over this.
Lance
North Dakota State QB Trey Lance will have his final workout for pro scouts today. It is expected to be run very much like that of Justin Fields last week. The uber-athletic Lance has to prove he can translate his game and lack of experience, into a full-time gig as an NFL QB.
