SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “3 More Days” Edition

Good Monday to you Steelers’ Fans. Hope you had a great weekend.

On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will report to St. Vincent’s College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania for the 52nd time. While Training Camp is vastly different from what it once was, it still brings with it excitement, hope and high expectations for the season ahead. We here at Steel City Blitz share that same enthusiasm and will bring you the most pragmatic and honest opinions about what is happening in Latrobe!

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler shared his interview with Martavis Bryant this past weekend. It was done before Bryant returned to Pittsburgh. Frankly, it doesn’t do much for Bryant who continues to sound like everyone else owes him the apologies he should be giving them. This continued talk of a ‘heart-to-heart’ between he and Ben Roethlisberger is nonsense. Bryant may have become a ‘beast’ through his workouts over the last year but I haven’t seen much growth as a person.

While I do not expect Le’Veon Bell at Training Camp, I also wish I could tell you exactly when we’ll know that. With his penchant for social media, I’m guessing that he’ll proudly announce his decision one way or another.

Tweet of the Day… So are we Vince, so are we!!

Speaking of Bell, I’m told that the front office has been less than thrilled with some of his comments following the failed contract negotiations. Can’t say I blame them.

If you’re headed to Camp, catch up with our Training Camp Primer published last week. Be sure to keep following along with Ian’s “Ten for Tomlin” series as well!

The Steelers will celebrate the life of Dan Rooney at Camp with a mass on July 30th at 11:30am at St. Vincent’s College. I would expect this to be highly attended so make sure you plan ahead.

Have a great week Steeler Nation!
