Hey Steelers Fans. Welcome to Monday.
The Kickoff
As it pertains to the Pittsburgh Steelers and their coaching staff, as the kids say, “they’re running back with the whole staff.” While this isn’t guaranteed it sure feels that way and for the life of me I don’t get it. The Steelers didn’t lose five straight because they had bad players. They haven’t lost six straight postseason games because of bad players either. They have had consistent issues because they refuse to change how they are doing things. Despite the fact that Art Rooney II has yet to bless us with his thoughts on the season, I’m not holding my breath in anticipation of coaching changes.

Dulac’s Notes
Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette shared his thoughts on the coming offseason. Keep in mind that no person in the media is as closely tied to the Steelers as is Dulac. Here are a couple of highlights.
- George Pickens is unlikely to get a second contract. If that’s accurate then I see no reason not to trade him and get something for him.
- Jaylen Warren will be the primary running back. Considering Najee Harris is a free agent and Cordarrelle Patterson did nothing to warrant bringing him back, this makes sense. Consider also that Warren is a restricted free agent so it will be difficult for him to go elsewhere.
- Both Dan Moore and James Daniels will move on. Both are free agents, Moore is not worth the money he will demand and Daniels is coming off an Achilles injury. Pretty common sense if you ask me.
- Justin Fields will be brought back as the primary QB. Russell Wilson didn’t do enough down the stretch to warrant being brought back. The free agent market has no one that fits what the Steelers want to do and don’t tell me Sam Darnold because behind our O-Line??? He’s toast.
- He believes the team will draft a defensive lineman with their first pick. This seems logical given the struggles against the run and the fact that Cam Heyward will be 36.
- Lastly, Dulac thinks that Cory Trice, Jr will be the number two cornerback. I believe Trice has a lot of the qualities they like but his inability to stay healthy is a major concern for me.
Weather Woes
I cannot believe the number of people bitching about some of the postseason games being played in the elements. If you’re the better team then you prove it regardless of the conditions. What I saw in Buffalo and in Philadelphia… THAT’S football!

John Harbaugh wakes up today feeling a lot like Mike Tomlin. Although he’s won postseason games much more recently than Tomlin, his fan base feels a lot like ours today after the Ravens lost in Buffalo. With a ‘soon-to-be’ three-time MVP at QB, the Ravens have yet to reach the Super Bowl with Lamar Jackson… I never dreamed Mark Andrews would drop passes and fumble the ball in such a big game… The best division in football, the NFC North, went 0-3 in the postseason… Note to Lions’ fans. “Destiny” means nothing. Believe me, no one understands like we do… Patrick Mahomes should be fined for his sideline flop. That was pathetic.
