Good Thursday to you Steelers’ fans.
If you had any thoughts that the Steelers weren’t paying attention to the XFL prior to it’s cancelled season then rest assured, they were. Pittsburgh signed three players who were in the second coming of the XFL recently before the Covid-19 virus shut it down. Before I introduce you to these gentlemen please bear in mind that they are long shots to make the roster. That said, anything is possible as Kam Kelly proved last year. The Black and Gold signed defensive lineman Cavon Walker who was leading the ?XFL in sacks with 4.5. They also added offensive lineman Jarron Jones. Both of these men spent time in NFL Training Camps but were shut out from making the roster. The third guy from the XFL is safety Tyree Kinnel. He played his college ball at Michigan and was most recently in the NFL with the Bengals.
The Podcast
We recorded episode 168 of the SCB Steelers Podcast Tuesday night and covered the Steelers’ free agency action. We also discussed potential comp picks for 2021 as well. Check it out!
Tweet of the Day… It’s been awhile since I featured one of Dave’s amazing photos.
Spotted this view a couple weeks ago when I was running along the river, and finally made it there with my camera today. The 16th St. Bridge and its reflection look like a giant eye in front of #Pittsburgh, with a slight haze creating a glow around the city. Pretty cool view. pic.twitter.com/8ItrwYXMaL

Mocking…
I say this every year but what the hell? I’ll say it again. This year is easily the hardest time I’ve had with a ‘post-free agency mock.’ Part of this is because the lack of a first round selection (which I’m totally good with) but really this just isn’t a very good draft in my opinion. There are a lot of very nice players at positions of importance for the Steelers but how they prioritize them is where the issues really begin for me. Considering what they’ve done in free agency, my priorities may be different than theirs.
The Watt’s
I think it’s safe to say that having these two together is going to create a lot of fun and excitement for the 2020 season. Even the Steelers are getting in on the act.

"Yep." pic.twitter.com/sUYV7YbmHl
