Good Day to you Steelers’ Fans!
I will never understand people who try to tell me that the Steelers and Bengals have a rivalry. I believe most of the confusion comes because of the bad blood that exists between several players. If you believe that defines a rivalry (and it’s certainly up to you) then I have news for you. The Steelers and Ravens have a true rivalry not because of guys taking cheap shots or because of guys spitting in each other’s faces. This rivalry exists because both teams defeat each other on a fairly consistent basis. The same cannot be said for the Pittsburgh-Cincinnati ‘series.’ Dating back to 2009, the Steelers are 15-3 versus the Bengals. The Black and Gold have only lost IN Cincinnati one time in the last ten games there. Again, not a rivalry. As for this week’s opponent Baltimore, the Steelers lead the Ravens all-time 27-22 and won three of the last four. Prior to that, Baltimore had won four straight. In all 49 games the Steelers lead in points scored 1,006 to 965 for the Ravens. It doesn’t get much closer than that. So while you’re more than welcome to your own definition, the one we have the Ravens fits mine.
Congratulations to Steelers’ Running Back James Conner for being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month! So awesome to see this young man continue to excel at the highest level!

I’ll discuss this more in our game preview the “Three-Point Stance” but getting off to a good start in Baltimore is almost a necessity in order for the Steelers to win Sunday. And there’s a couple of reasons why…
I saw a comment recently that was pretty jaded. The gist was this; when there’s a tragedy in a city the local sports’ team will always find a way to make it about them. This is clearly someone who doesn’t understand Pittsburgh. No one paid Ryan Shazier to attend a service for one of the victims of Saturday’s senseless shooting. No one paid a large portion of the team and organization to show up at the funeral for the Rosenthal Brothers did they? I don’t see anyone calling the Penguins’ idea of auctioning off their commemorative for charity an ‘attention grab’ either. I feel bad for people who don’t understand Pittsburgh. It’s not your typical city which is why I love it.
