Good Wednesday to you Steelers fans.
I really have come to appreciate the quiet moments in Steelers Nation. They seem to be few and far between over the last several years. Every time you think things will go smoothly, they don’t. It really kind of feels like the quiet moments will never return as the daily slog of T.J. Watt’s contract negotiations drag on for another day. Last night I felt compelled to explain why choosing sides in this back and forth isn’t necessary and I still feel the same way today. I know I speak for all of us when I say “I just want it over” but imagine how Watt must feel. At this point however we must focus on Sunday. Watt is under contract and I expect that he’ll play in Buffalo.
Bell Biv Baltimore
With a tip of the cap to “Bell Biv Devoe,” I share my thoughts on Le’Veon Bell signing with the Ravens. Will Bell have some big moments in Baltimore? I think so but this isn’t the same player that was once in Pittsburgh either. The Ravens have lost two top running backs to injury and were essentially hosting a “tryout” which Bell has won. Much like Rod Woodson, Alejandro Villanueva or L.J. Fort, former Steelers who went to the Queen City, I wish them well but come two Sundays a year they are the enemy. It will be no different for Bell.

Transactions
With no takers on the waiver wire, Defensive Lineman Henry Mondeaux has returned to the Steelers where he’ll be on the Practice Squad. Also joining him were receiver Tyler Vaughns and linebacker Delontae Scott. Camp favorite Rico Bussey was placed on the PS Injured List. Mondeaux could eventually see time on the main roster if Stephon Tuitt remains out but for now he’ll stay on the PS.
