SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “Much Ado ABout Something?” Edition

Good Wednesday to you Steelers’ Fans.

The typo in the title is intentional. I don’t need to tell you why do I? Antonio Brown was involved in a domestic dispute according to Hollywood, Florida police. The incident did not involve any arrests and right now we don’t not have any of the particulars in terms what actually happened. It would be very easy to pile on AB right now considering the last several weeks. I’m not going to do that though. What I’m going to suggest is that we allow things to come to light first before we assume guilt. Domestic violence, and anything similar to it are to be taken seriously but as we’ve seen recently rushes to judgment have hurt those accused. My advice is to take the same course. Yes, AB has had his struggles recently but let’s just see where the chips fall here before we send him off to trial. Here’s a link to the police report.

Greg offers up his latest Draft Profile, this time it’s LSU tight end Foster Moreau. Check it out!

I’m still pissed about Alan Faneca and the Hall of Fame. Not getting in is one thing, a guy getting in ahead of you who isn’t nearly as decorated is shameful.

Tweet of the Day… This was too good to pass up.

Peter King of NBC Sports, or as I refer to him, Patriot King, made a pretty bold statement in his Monday column about who could open the season at New England. This was his statement. “Steelers at New England. Drama Queens vs the Model Franchise.” There is unfortunately a lot of truth in that statement but there’s also something very misleading. ‘Model franchises’ don’t have two major scandals including one that sees their Hall of Fame quarterback get suspended for four games. In fact, I don’t believe there are any ‘model franchises’ in the NFL because every single one of them has had off-field issues. If King wants to talk about winning games? Then fine – can’t argue that – but let’s not act like the Pats are as pure as King makes them sound.

The Steelers have added an assistant offensive line coach to join new head man Shaun Sarrett. Adrian Klemm, who won three Super Bowl rings and was drafted by the Patriots in 2000, comes to the Steelers. He most recently was an assistant at UCLA in 2016.

My AB Trade Meter for today. 1 = he won’t be traded 100 = he will be traded.

Have a great day Steeler Nation!
