Good Monday to you Steelers’ Fans!
Training Camp is almost here. I can’t tell you how excited I am to write that. The Steelers will arrive on Thursday the 25th and the their first open practice will be on Friday afternoon. I am already getting the sense that this will be a much more low-key series of arrivals than we’ve seen in recent years. Asked about a follow-up to his “Stone Cold” entrance last year Vince Williams replied “All business this year.” Obviously with Antonio Brown gone the arrivals via helicopter or customized car should be a thing of the past. A more business-like approach and more focus is certainly welcome in my book but it guarantees nothing in terms success. THAT will still be determined by what happens on the field. All that said, this a great week to celebrate the return of our Black and Gold. Embrace it!!
If you think the fan just casually walking out to home plate yesterday at PNC Park was cool then please stop reading and move on. It’s not cool. It’s a serious lapse not only by security but the fact a person could get so close to one of the players is disturbing. Perhaps James Harrison should roam the diamond to prevent this sort of thing huh?

I’m not going to claim to know everything there is to know about the Tyreek Hill situation but this is not a good look for the NFL. They’ve suspended arguably their greatest QB ever for deflated footballs. They’ve suspended countless players for using marijuana and they’ve suspended players based simply on “poor decision-making.” Therefore, I struggle to understand why Hill is not at the very least facing some type of discipline.
