TGIF Steelers’ Fans!
Despite earlier reports that stated Steelers’ Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley was not injured when he fell outside of a Pittsburgh Area bar on New Year’s Eve, it looks like there’s been a challenge. After further review, Haley has been diagnosed with a “shattered pelvis” according to several outlets. Haley addressed the incident but declined to take any questions about it. I’m certainly not a doctor (although I play one on Twitter) but I would think this is something Haley will deal with for the remainder of the season.
Ryan Shazier’s father Vernon said yesterday that Ryan has feeling in his legs which is terrific news.
Every so often I run into people who would like to advertise or sell things through the site. One such guy is David Burleson of Burleson Welding. He makes (welds) these Steelers’ themed chairs by hand and I’m very happy to let you in on these. If you’re interested contact David at Pghburleson@hotmail.com. His Twitter handle is @david_burleson.
Apparently ESPN has unveiled a huge rift between Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft. While it’s nice to see some drama affect another team besides our Steelers, I really don’t give a crap.
Tweet of the Day… I couldn’t resist putting this on here. Brandon is a good friend of the site with a terrific sense of humor.

So let’s say Antonio Brown is at 75% for next week. Do you play him knowing he is still pretty damn good even at less than 100% or do you try to get through without him to the AFC Title Game?
I do not believe in the so-called “rookie wall” I hear pundits discuss this time of year. The reason is that college players today have seasons almost as long as the pros anyway. It’s not like the old days when players reported to their schools in mid to late August and were done in late November. Many of these guys go from late July through New Year’s Day. While the total number of games might not be the same the stretch of football-related stuff is pretty much the same.
For all those that bitch about the heat in the summer…. I’ll gladly take that right now. My gauge says “zero” right now. And the sun is shining.
Look for our annual Blitzie Awards coming soon!
Have a great weekend Steeler Nation!
