Good Thursday to you Steelers’ Fans!
I think a major question we all have is how on Earth was James Harrison inactive for two games? We can ask that because of what he did on Sunday in Kansas City. That leads us to wonder what impact he may have had in games he missed and in games where he was sparingly used. Deebo only played 15 snaps on Sunday or about 27% of the total defensive snaps yet his impact was significant. Four tackles and a monstrous sack to all but seal the game in those 15 snaps were more than both T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree had combined. While there is no way to question his effect against the Chiefs, what type of effect should expect going forward? I think we have to temper our expectations a bit because frankly, we just don’t know. He’s 39 years old… And in better shape than most in the locker room. But we should still proceed with some caution. That way when he blows our minds again it will be that much more satisfying.

The fact that Matakevich was a full participant is encouraging. He suffered what was thought to be a very serious shoulder injury on Sunday. As of this writing I’m told none of the players who missed practice completely are expected to miss the game. That is always a fluid situation however.
I think Martavis Bryant will have at least two impact plays Sunday. Call it a hunch but I think a combination of the team wanting him to get involved and him ready to break out will come to fruition.
Le’Veon Bell has played five times in his career against the Bengals. He is 4-1 with three touchdowns yet has only one game where he has gone over 100 yards rushing. Part of that is due to injury but regardless I expect him to hit the century mark on Sunday.
Have a great Day Steeler Nation!
