TGIF Steelers’ Fans!

Can you believe it? Today is the final public practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers at St. Vincent’s College in Latrobe. The team will hold one more practice tomorrow that is not open to the public and then that’s it. Training Camp will officially be over. Whether that means Antonio Brown leaves in the same Rolls Royce he cam to Camp in or not is uncertain but I do hope David DeCastro gets some help with his La-Z-Boy. I really don’t want our all-pro guard throwing his back out trying to lug that thing out of the dorm.

Miss the Steel City Blitz Podcast Presented by 26shirts.com/Pittsburgh last night? You can check it out here. We are also on iTunes, iHeart Radio, Stitcher and TuneIn as well.

Steelers’ Guard/Center B.J. Finney went down in practice yesterday and was carted off. The good news is that Finney was reportedly dehydrated and should be fine. With Maurkice Pouncey still not practicing Finney’s availability is tremendously important.

Tweet of the Day… Another great example of this guy’s work!

ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who is the best at what he does, tweeted that Le’Veon Bell will sign his Franchise Tag before the regular season starts but when is uncertain. Well, yeah Adam, that’s kind of been the plan ALL ALONG!!!

MMQB’s Peter King was in Latrobe yesterday to cover the Steelers. I think it’s nice he was able to remove his lips from the read end of Tom Brady and New England long enough to stop by.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has a bone bruise according to Mike Tomlin. That is just fine after he laid on the field for five minutes or so leaving many to suggest the injury would be worse.

Very excited to be heading to Pittsburgh for the game Sunday. Yes, it’s preseason but my son has never been to Heinz Field for a game before so I’m looking forward to it for him. Thanks to Steelers’ superfan Craig Scott for the hookup!!

One of the things I’ll be looking for this weekend on offense is the rotation of the running backs. With James Conner slated to play, it will be very crowded back there and several guys are running out of time to impress.

Have a great weekend Steeler Nation!
