SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “AB Leaves Them Hanging” Edition

by Steeldad

Good Thursday to you Steelers’ fans!

I really don’t know what’s going on with Antonio Brown but I don’t like it. That doesn’t mean I don’t like him, I’m just concerned with this pattern of behavior that has grown throughout the 2016 season. From missing radio appearances, to celebration penalties and fines to becoming a bit of a pariah in the locker room, something isn’t what it once was with him. Look no further than his latest guffaw. As reported by WTAE, Brown was supposed to appear at Planet Fitness for an autograph signing from 4:30-5:30pm. He didn’t show up until 6:10, signed for 30 minutes and then left. This is not the same guy who used to interact with fans on video chats as far as I’m concerned.

From the injury report…. Ben Roethlisberger was limited yesterday. R-E-L-A-X. It was not injury related. Chris Boswell did not practice which leaves his services in doubt for Sunday. He really needs a couple of solid practices before the Steelers are going to send Randy Bullock packing. DeAngelo Williams returned on a limited basis yesterday which is great to hear. Javon Hargrave did not practice as he is still dealing with concussion issues.

Congratulations to Arthur Moats. He’s been selected as the Steelers’ Walter Payton Man of the Year Award nominee. A worthy selection.

I’d like to welcome new SCB contributor Brian Lowry. He’s a guy I’ve always liked on Twitter because he’s straight-forward and is honest about what he sees with the Steelers. That’s just what we like here! He jumped in with both feet about the Steelers and their penalties.

Nail the Number’ for this week is up! $2,200 on the line!

Tweet of the Day… This is terrific!

You probably heard AB called himself ‘Ronald’ last week? He’s added a surname now. Apparently he’s ‘Ronald Ocean.’

The Steelers have improved their run defense a lot over the course of the season with a few exceptions, but a big part of that improvement has been with Javon Hargrave. He left with a concussion Sunday and if he doesn’t play Sunday, it will hurt. The Bills run the ball better than anyone else in the league.

Sunday forecast for Western New York continues to be cold, snowy and windy. In other words, it’s December in the NFL.

Le’Veon Bell dropped a new rap tune. Is that available on cassette?

Several articles this week about Ross Cockrell returning to Buffalo… He was cut by the Bills when Rex Ryan came in. Cockrell wasn’t cut because he was a bad cornerback, he just didn’t fit the ‘Rex Ryan’ system. Their loss was our gain. The Steelers had their eyes on Cockrell in the draft before Buffalo took him.

Have a great day Steeler Nation!!
