SCB Exclusive: The Steelers DeskSite is a Must For Any Steelers’ Fan

by Steeldad

We at Steel City Blitz get approached a lot by many different companies and advertisers and I’ll be honest – many of them are just looking for some cheap publicity – but when people associated with the Steelers contact you, you listen!

I was approached recently and asked about Steelers DeskSite. If you aren’t familiar with it, that’s OK because you will be by the end of this article. If you are already using this then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Let me give you some of the basics first.

To get started, you can only find this at steelers.com. Basically, this is a personalized video platform that gives you “all things Steelers.” Some of the benefits include no buffering, customization and proactive notification. It eliminates the need to ‘search’ for content and provides it all right there for you. Here’s a brief glimpse (below) at what it would look like on your computer. Check it out right here!

For example, I always enjoy watching Tutunchnch Ilkin do ‘Chalk Talk.’ Even when he’s covering something relatively simple, I still try to learn at least one thing as I watch. What’s great is that every time Tunch has a new episode, it goes right into the que and alerts you that it’s ready. One of the best parts is that there aren’t any commercials either before the video runs.

Maybe you aren’t into X’ and O’s and would rather see what the players had to say following the game. Just click on “The Locker Room” and you are instantly taken inside where all of your favorite Steelers will talking.

From Mike Tomlin’s press conferences to the “Community” tab and even “Agree to Disagree,” it’s all there at your fingertips. In the time I’ve been using the DeskSite, I haven’t encountered any problems. It runs smoothly and efficiently and allows you to click on one thing and immediately head to another.

It really is the perfect tool for any Steelers’ fan and I highly recommend it to you!
