Good Friday to you Steelers fans.
Ah the 1980’s… Glorious times for many to be sure and especially in the world of music where a new wave group out of Canada came along with a song called “The Safety Dance.” While that song has its’ own meaning, here in this space it refers to just who in the hell is going to replace Minkah Fiztpatrick at the position on Sunday night? There has been growing speculation all week as to how the Pittsburgh Steelers may approach this. Could Terrell Edmunds drift back and play the role? What about Miles Killabrew? He showed some promise in the preseason but maybe he becomes the Edmunds role if Terrell plays for Minkah. Could the ever versatile Cam Sutton drift back there? James Pierre is playing decently on the corner so is that a possibility? Heck, maybe they are so pleased with the progress of Tre Norwood that perhaps he’s the guy who gets the shot. What I do know is this; whenever the Steelers get into these types of situations they tend to find the old “committee” approach to be the most sensible. Whether it applies here we won’t know until Sunday night.
The Podcast
We had a terrific show last night. The SCB Steelers Podcast presented by DEK Roofing Inc of South Florida featured our ‘thoughts’ on the tie with Detroit and much, much more. We were very pleased to be joined by our great friend Craig (@EyeoftheStormZ on Twitter). He gave us his thoughts on the Black and Gold and also introduced his Children’s Charity this year as well. Tune in!!

Steelers History
This week in Steelers History finds Gordon taking us back to 2005 when second year QB Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers into San Diego. The Chargers were led by QB Drew Brees and RB LaDanian Tomlinson. This is a great read!

Injury Notes: Ben Roethlisberger will take his Covid test on Saturday. At that point they will determine his availability for the game Sunday. My gut right now tells me they will go with Mason Rudolph… I do not expect T.J. Watt either on Sunday Night. Keith Butler is going to have to be very creative.
Pro Bowl
Voting for the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl is now underway. You can vote for all of your favorite Steelers by clicking this link right here. I’m of the opinion that Chris Boswell, Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt should 100% be on their way to this game.
