Do you listen to any Steelers podcasts?  If so, which ones?
Thanks,
Bill
I have to admit Bill, and I am ashamed to do so, that I don’t listen to other Steelers podcasts. I do this for a couple of reasons. First, because we record later in the week than most others, I don’t want to be accused of stealing someone else’s opinions or ideas. Secondly, I just don’t have time. Between work and doing stuff for SCB and family obligations I just don’t rarely find time to listen. That said, I’ve heard Chris Carter before and he’s solid as is Lance Williams who has been a guest of ours going way back to when it was just Matt and I. There are others for sure including Yinzhers who have created a really cool concept that was needed in our field.
Anyone else tired of race being first thing some bring up when anyone says they aren’t happy with direction Steelers have taken under Mike Tomlin., rather than looking at it objectively and realizing all those regular season wins haven’t gotten us anywhere’s in the playoffs?

This has always been an issue Mike since Mike Tomlin arrived in Pittsburgh. If you love him then you aren’t seeing things rationally. If you hate him then you’re automatically a racist. I believe Tomlin to be a very good football coach. He’s not in the same level as Bill Belichick but few are. I’ve had issues with his game management and overall game-planning at times but you don’t win the amount of games he has without being a good coach. As for his lack of recent postseason wins, it’s troubling. From Denver to Jacksonville there are games this team should have never lost.
What have we done to piss off the NFL Karma Gods to deserve this?!?
Richie
This is a pretty good question because I know many fans are thinking the same thing. For so long, we all just went into every season knowing that we would be pushing for a postseason berth. The reality is that this season a lot of things just haven’t gone right. Part of that is due to living on the edge of “salary cap hell” for so long. Our depth has suffered as a result and with David DeCastro gone, that was a huge blow to the plan for the offensive line. Things have just kind of snowballed from there in many ways. At the end of the day I think this is less about karma and more about other teams finally catching up to us.
Mike Tomlin is allowing music at practice now. What’s your first song?

Following Chase Claypool’s assertion that playing music during practice (something never done previously) would help the team, I got this question a lot. Some of you are far more creative than I am as was the case with answers like “High Hopes” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” Personally I would lead it off with “Rapper’s Delight” by the SugarHill Gang. After that I would mix in everything from Metallica to N.W.A. and some classic country to break thing up a bit.
