Good Friday to you Steelers’ Fans.
Steelers’ Head Coach Mike Tomlin currently has two year left on his current contract. Traditionally, the Steelers extend their head coach at this particular juncture. The thought process being that you don’t want his contract being an issue with the press and it also shows commitment to players who may consider coming to your team via free agency. The question of course is does Tomlin deserve the extension? Some believe that with Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell gone, that this is a “prove it” type of year. In other words, the drama appears to be gone so now let’s see what you can do without those headaches. I believe there are other factors at play but I’ll be surprised if the Steelers don’t extend him before the season begins. That will of course spark outrage by many but would that really surprise you?

I don’t understand the NBA Draft. A guy gets picked and before he even gets the hat adjusted on his head it’s announced he will be traded. You shouldn’t need a scorecard to keep track of a draft.

The Steelers announced their Heinz Field practice (Family Fest) this summer will be held on Sunday August, 4th. This is a great opportunity for you to see your Steelers especially if you can’t afford or just can’t get to a game in the fall.
Coaches will now be able to challenge pass interference calls outside of two minutes at the end of each half. This is in practice for just this coming season as of right now. Inside the two minutes, all official reviews will come from the booth. This of course is the League’s ‘reactive’ response to the horrible non-call in the NFC Title Game. As many of you know I’m not a big fan of replay period but I’ll give this a chance before rushing to judgment.
