Good Thursday to You Steelers’ Fans!
A lot of fans had pointed to this week as the reunion between the Pittsburgh Steelers and their former wide receiver Martavis Bryant. The wildly athletic but troubled playmaker was traded to the Oakland Raiders during the 2018 Draft and Sunday was supposed to be his opportunity to ‘pay back’ the team that gave up on him. No such opportunity will exist though as Bryant has been put on Injured Reserve. He will miss the remainder of the season. His time in Pittsburgh was filled with massive potential, unbelievable plays and a whole lot of controversy. His inability to stay out of trouble eventually cost him the entire 2016 season. While many fans did not agree with trading him, it had to be done. The Steelers knew they weren’t going to re-sign him so rather than let him walk for nothing they received a third round pick and from the business side of things it was the right move. There will be no ‘Marty Party’ however this weekend in Oakland.
I have a gut feeling that when things settle themselves down in a few years there will be some pretty ugly stories about the relationship between Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy in Green Bay. My gut also tells me Rodgers won’t be seen in the best light either.
I felt compelled to write this piece on Big Ben last night. I get tired of the double standards and attacks.

Good to see Ryan Switzer practicing fully. Man he took some shots to the head in recent weeks… You’ll also notice that Big Ben WASN’T on the practice report. This is the first time he hasn’t taken the ‘vet’s day’ on Wednesday this season… I don’t even know where to begin with Marcus Gilbert.
Want a very scary omen for Sunday? The last three times the Steelers lost to the Raiders in Oakland they finished with records of 4-12, 2-14, 4-12. The Silver and Black are again headed for similar territory.
