SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “All Hands Team” Edition

Good Wednesday to you Steelers’ Fans!

I really didn’t want to go here but I’m going here. As many of you know current Steelers’ absentee running back Le’Veon Bell was spotted on video in a Miami strip club with his hands all over a women’s rear end. So let me say this part first… Bell is currently not at Camp while he waits for preseason to end. This is exactly what he did last season so this isn’t surprising. It is not a crime to go to a strip club. He’s not the first guy to go with his girlfriend either. He can spend all the money he chooses and he’s far from the first NFL player to be in an adult entertainment establishment too. Why then is this a big deal?

From the standpoint of his Steelers’ teammates it’s probably not at all. Most of them have probably laughed it off by now. To the coaches and front office however it’s not a good look and I’m pretty sure there’s been a feeling of “this is why we are glad this is his final year here.” From the fans’ standpoint? Yikes. Many have had more than enough of his immaturity. Just look at Twitter. I don’t know who took the video and it doesn’t matter. Bell could have gone, done his thing and it wouldn’t be an issue. Unfortunately it’s a bad look especially when his teammates are busting their asses.

Steelers’ Head Coach Mike Tomlin was asked about Bell and the most important thing he said was “I hope he comes back in even better shape than he came in with last year.” Shots fired.

Tweet of the Day… Not much to be said here. Thank you Rock and thank you to all of our vets!

Really excited to announce that Site Rockstar has agreed to sponsor our “Week in Review” for the next year! Please consider giving them your business!

From Uncle Ed’s chat over at post-gazette.com.

Steeler in Charlotte: Rumor has it that Ben lost that weight after seeing Brady and Foles running routes in the Super Bowl and he wanted his shot… In reality, what’s the chance we ever see Ben catch a TD?
Ed Bouchette: Brady dropped the pass thrown to him. I think the odds of ever seeing Brady run another route are 0.0

OK, you know this about me but I never say “never.” Therefore it could be possible for Big Ben to catch a pass. However, the fact that this question started with “Rumor” tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

Our Ben Anderson couldn’t be more excited about Johnny Manziel starting his first game for Montreal vs his former team Hamilton on Friday night. I’m sure he’ll be leaving work early to watch this one.

Steelers return to the practice field today at 2:55pm but be warned, thunderstorms are very possible.

Have a great day Steeler Nation!
