It’s Thursday Steelers’ Fans or as some like to call it, “Friday eve.”
There’s been a lot of speculation really since the regular season began about the availability of tight end Ladarius Green. Common thinking had him returning week seven for the game against the Patriots. On Wednesday it was reported that Green expects to practice next week so perhaps his availability is closer to reality than we thought.
Sammie Coates revealed Wednesday that he had seven stitches on his hand rather than the 17 that were initially reported. Either way, kudos to him for playing through that. Bad news? He had a cast on his hand and was limited in practice.
Both Eli Rogers and Justin Gilbert were full participants at practice. Gilbert was expected in my mind while Rogers was up in the air with turf toe.
The Steelers signed former Buffalo Bills’ running back Karlos Williams to their practice squad. This is a move that could be for both the short term and long term with DeAngelo Williams being 34 years old. Keep in mind, he can be poached from the practice squad by other teams. He is also the brother of Steelers’ LB Vince Williams.
‘Nail the Number’ for Week Six is active. Check the link for the details.
Tweet of the Day…. I think Vince Wince Williams was very happy to have his brother in Pittsburgh.
Today was the best practice I've ever had as a pro athlete. #blessUP

The more I look at the Dolphins offensive line situation the more I don’t know how the Steelers can’t get pressure on Ryan Tannehill. They’ve surrendered 11 sacks the last two weeks.
Ya know who is playing pretty damn well right now? Jarvis Jones.
I tweeted yesterday that although it isn’t very “Steeler-like” I wouldn’t be surprised to see them inquire about some pass rushing help. Or perhaps they add another offensive tackle? Either wouldn’t be bad in my opinion for the right price.
Have a terrific Thursday Steeler Nation!
