Hope all of you Steelers’ fans out there got all kinds of Steelers-related valentines yesterday!
While I’ve always appreciated how good Peyton Manning was as a quarterback, I’ve never bought the “aww shucks” personality that nearly every football writer on the planet falls prey to. Manning has been named in a Title IX lawsuit against the University of Tennessee for his actions against a trainer while he played there. Basically, Manning thought it would be funny to “tea bag,” or place his genitals and ass on the face of the trainer while she examined him. That story is known to people like myself who take the time to actually read articles and stories. The problem here is typical; Manning is NFL royalty because Dad Archie was such a “good guy.” Therefore Peyton gets a pass. MMQB’s Peter King essentially called it a non-issue this morning (no surprise) because it happened so long ago. Wonder if King would feel the same if this happened to one of his daughters?
I wrote last week that the Steelers need to think bigger than bringing back Brice McCain who was cut by the Dolphins last week. Often I hear that because he knows the system and is a better cover guy than Antwon Blake then this is why you bring him back. I concur, he might be a nice option but I think they can do better in free agency so we’ll see.
Chris continued his look at some of the Steelers’ prospects by focusing on the athletic defensive tackle from Baylor.
Tweet of the Day… Pretty cool look at what motivates DWill.
I am driven from within, but walking by this every morning absolutely adds fuel to the fire! #MotivationMonday pic.twitter.com/SQu8SiaN4Y

You’ll have to forgive me if I’m not all that excited about Le’Veon Bell’s new rap song. I’m all for players having lives away from the game but I’m a little more old school when it comes to my rap anyway. Besides, more proof that pro athletes want to be rappers and rappers want to be pro athletes. I just want Bell to stay healthy on the field.
Being that it’s President’s Day I’ll give you my favorite… George Washington. Not because he was the first but because he understood the importance of stepping aside after two terms so it didn’t look like the monarchy they had defied. He would have been favored for a third term.
I’m guessing that you saw the Steelers re-signed long snapper Greg Warren last week. He, along with Ben Roethlisberger, Heath Miller and James Harrison are the only hold-overs from the Bill Cowher Era.
Have a great week Steelers’ Nation!
