SCB Fantasy Week 3 – Ouchane

Good morning and happy Tuesday SCB Fantasy fans! My sincere apologies for being behind a week- sometimes vacations get in the way of actual fun, But I’m back, caffeinated and motivated, fresh off the win vs. the Bengals Sunday! Here’s my recap of the past two weeks:

Week 2: Team Invictus 136.32 vs James and the Giant Peaches 123.54

This win was even more significant because Peaches was not only last year’s league winner, but he also got the bonus payout for total score. Allen, Taylor, and Watson came through big while Pollard again fell short. Pickens also didn’t hit his projected scoring, however we pulled off the win. 2-0!

Week 3: Team Invictus 114.16 vs Spicy Gringo 119.38

Ouch! Our first loss! Allen got hurt and wasn’t his usual self anyway. Taylor also fell short of projection against Houston. Watson and Kelce had good games, but overall the team collectively fell short. As of today, we currently sit at 3rd in the league. Nothing to panic about. Now onto the waiver wire.

Quarterbacks

If you happen to be in a deep league where less quarterbacks than usual are available, Kirk Cousins may be available. With the triumphant return of Brock Bowers the Raiders are actually looking pretty decent right now. With the Raiders off to a 3-0 start, calls for the “Nandolorian” are currently on hold. Cousins is pretty set as the starter.

Running Backs

With the Devon Achane injury, Ollie Gordon II was next in line. The Dolphins other running back, Jaylen Wright was also injured during this contest. There’s no telling how the carries may have been split had Wright been healthy, but as of today Gordon II is the guy.

Wide Receivers

Alec Pierce is injured- again- so if Keenan Allen is somehow still available in your league go grab him. Another player I like is Miami’s Chris Bell. I highlighted Bell in one of my draft previews. He is coming off a knee injury, but he is a very athletic, speedy wideout. I know I know- I keep going back to Miami and they aren’t exactly a high-powered offense right now, but you have to take what you can get.

Tight Ends

This is an easy one- if you need TE help and you can grab him, the answer is Kenyon Sadiq. The first-round pick out of Oregon had a monster game this past week. He is a tight end that plays the position like a large wide receiver and he’s only going to get better. With a possible Breece Hall injury, the Jets are going to need to figure out how to get him the ball.

Trade targets

Chase Brown has not lived up to expectations so far this season. Fantasy owners may be getting frustrated with him, so you may be able to swoop in and buy low. The Cincinnati offense is too good and at some point they are going to have to get him going, If you can steal him away from someone, do it. No mercy.

It’s Browns week! Hopefully Big Mike keeps his foot on the gas pedal and takes it to ‘em. Also, Germie Bernard and Mt. Washington need more targets. Please and thank you. Let’s go Steelers!!!
