Home Steelers 2016 Season ‘B’ is the Most Important Letter in the Steelers’ Alphabet

‘B’ is the Most Important Letter in the Steelers’ Alphabet

The English alphabet may contain 26 letters and start with the letter ‘A’ but in the world of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the letter ‘B’ is far and away the most impressive and most important letter. If you need any more evidence than what we saw last night then “snap out of it!”

If I may, I’m going to take you back to your childhood favorite ‘Sesame Street’ to explain just what I’m talking about.

‘B’ is for Big Ben who threw for five touchdown passes last night in the 43-14 win over the Chiefs. Better yet, he had zero turnovers and looked very comfortable with the offense last night a week after absolutely nothing seemed to work in Philadelphia.

‘B’ is for Bell as in “Le’Veon” who returned following his injury and three-game suspension last night looking as though he hadn’t missed a beat. His pass catching skills were on display early and then his patient running skills took over in the second half. He’s such a gifted player that makes so many of us happy when he plays. I really hope he has turned things around for the better.

‘B’ is for Brown as in “Antonio” who caught just four passes for 64 yards but two of those catches were for touchdowns. Had Ben Roethlisberger needed him more last night I believe he would have delivered because he looked that good last night.

‘B’ is for Butler as in “Keith” who was so pissed off by his defense’s performance a week earlier he shaved his face clean! In all seriousness, with two starters gone and replaced by one guy making his first start and another with a handful of starts, he dialed up a much more impressive defensive gameplan last night and made the normally efficient Alex Smith look rough.

‘B’ is B.J. as in “Finney” who steeped in for Ramon Foster at guard and played well. This, despite the fact that Finney suffered a grotesque finger break and dislocation earlier in the week. I thought Finney did exactly what you want your reserve to do; be solid in all phases.

‘B’ is for “Bounce Back” which the Steelers desperately needed and did.

‘B’ is for balance which clearly the offense had last night. The Steelers ran 26 times and passed it 27 times. Can’t get much better than that.

‘B’ is for Baltimore who lost at home yesterday to an AFC opponent.

I think by now you get the idea. This Steelers’ team will go as far as the  Butler’s defense and the ‘B’s’ can take them. Last night we saw exactly what they can do and now it’s time to see it consistently. That’s something we can all ‘B’ ready for.
