SCB Steelers Quick Hitters: The ‘Ill-Timed’ Edition

Good Monday to you Steelers fans.

There are few things I dislike more than being sick. I know most people feel this way, obviously, but I become the worst person ever to be around. How my wife tolerates me is beyond my comprehension. I would literally rather break a finger than be ill. I figure that I can at least tape it up and go on with my day rather than being feverish with a nasty cough and stuffy nose for days on end. Apparently I caught a virus which according to my doctor is the same one that everyone else in America has or has had so lucky me. Thankfully I’m on the mend now and more than happy to be back at the keyboard writing Steelers’ stuff!

Questioning Pickett

You are no doubt seeing more and more tidbits coming out about Kenny Pickett and whether or not he truly has the support of the team. You’ll recall when the season ended Diontae Johnson flat-out stated that he hoped Mason Rudolph was back and would be the starter. In the weeks since that statement, there have been more and more rumors of other guys feeling the same. Until I get some more specific information I’m not going to dive too far into this but I will say this; I’m not overly surprised if these things are true.

My First Mock Draft is Out

Mock Drafts are a necessary evil. I’m sorry, but they are. For years I tried to do ONE – right before the actual draft – every year, but the demand for these has just become too great to ignore. On the plus side, doing a few of these before the actual draft really helps me zero in on guys the Steelers may really be interested in and those they may not be.
