Good Thursday to you Steelers fans.
Earlier this week Steelers’ wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was filmed in a grocery store buying a young woman’s entire cart full of groceries. The story as it was told was that she couldn’t find her wallet or debit card and she feared she left it at home or somewhere she couldn’t get to. Smith-Schuster, came from behind wearing a hoodie pulled over his head and paid for the entire cart-full of items. This was indeed a “good deed.” But some have questioned whether it was staged or not. Some citing the fact a local media person happened to be there at the same time and someone else had their camera rolling from their phone. Let’s say this whole thing was in fact a set up. Let’s say JuJu told a friend, “hey let’s go down to the grocery store, pick someone out and I’ll pay for their items. You just get it on camera.” If that was truly what happened, does it take away the good deed that he did? He still bought everything for this woman didn’t he? He certainly didn’t have to do that. But did he do it strictly to promote himself? If he did, does that make the whole thing rather disingenuous? Do we now question every other good deed he’s ever done? I’ll admit, it takes a bit of the shine off in my view but I’ll also say this. Do any of us really think the people he helped care that he is promoting himself? My guess is no and the bottom line for me here is we shouldn’t either. I’d much rather be writing about this than discussing a wide receiver who throws furniture from a balcony.
Tweet of the Day… No other player will be allowed to play like him either.
Watching James Harrison’s A Football Life finally, man. Generational talent is an understatement. No other player will play this game like James Harrison. Period.

Injury Notes: Today is a huge day for Big Ben with Friday being even bigger. He has to be a full participant in all likelihood to play on Sunday… The Broncos are very banged up and while I expect to see some of those who didn’t practice yesterday to practice today it’s to see through the forest as to who plays and who doesn’t… Chuks Okorafor returned to practice but I would be surprised if he gets his starting spot back. Joe Haeg wasn’t great but he was a definite improvement in the run game… Could this be the week we see Zach Banner?
