Good Friday to you Steelers’ fans.
While it’s great that the Steelers will be back in action this weekend after their bye week, I must say that it really sucks having to wait until Monday night for them to play. I’m grateful they get the ‘extra’ day off and to prepare but doesn’t the NFL know how desperately we need to see our team back in action? This of course changes drastically if the Steelers lay an egg on Monday night but as of right now, we need our Steelers! And to think I didn’t even mention the fact that the color rush uniforms are being worn too!

Injury Notes… JuJu is dealing with the flu which has made its way around the facility of late… Watt’s injury bears significant watching. If he can’t go that means the already thin OLB group gets even thinner… The return of Roosevelt Nix is great for the Special Teams’ units but offensively? That’s hard to say… Howard is one of the Dolphins few remaining good players. I believe he plays on Monday though.
Trades Unlikely
While I’m one to never say “never,” it doesn’t look like the Steelers will be making any trades prior to the NFL Trade Deadline which is Tuesday at 4pm ET. Certainly the absence of a first and third round pick is a factor that limits what they can do but that doesn’t mean something won’t or can’t come along. I still have major concerns about the defensive line now with the loss of Stephon Tuitt. Still, to get anyone of quality would require some serious capital that I don’t believe the Steelers want to spend.
