7 or 12, who you got?

Rick H.

This is like asking me which child I love more, my daughter or my son… I’ve always been partial to quarterbacks. It’s the position I played, coached and have spent more time studying than any other. But to the question, I fell in love with the Steelers because of the Blonde Bomber so he will always be one tiny spot ahead of Big Ben.

I’m going to go ahead and assume that Ben Roethlisberger rides off into the sunset… With Mason Rudolph already under contract for next season, I believe he’ll enter the offseason as the number one guy. I expect the Steelers to draft a quarterback but where, I don’t know but I expect it to be first or second round. That QB will then compete with Rudy for the starting job. I think any idea of Aaron Rodgers or another high-priced QB coming in is far-fetched. Is this the scenario I want to happen? Not necessarily but it is what I think will happen.

From the email, are you surprised that Bud Dupree is struggling in Tennessee?

Steve

To be really honest, I’m not. I don’t mean to be cruel to Bud but I truly believe he benefited greatly from having T.J. Watt on the other side. Not only did he take advantage of one-on-one’s but I think he was motivated by having Watt as a teammate as well.

Well, on Monday of last week I noticed my throat was sore and by the end of the day I had lost my voice. After seeing the doctor on Wednesday it was determined I had a sinus infection. I hoped my voice would be back by Thursday, in time for the podcast, but unfortunately I sounded like a cross between Kermit the Frog and kid going through puberty. The good news is that we return this week.
