The Steelers are off as is the usual practice for Tuesdays.

-Head Coach Mike Tomlin will hold his press conference at Noon ET today ad can be seen at steelers.com and on ROOT Sports.

-With the injury to Le’Veon Bell, the Steelers are entertaining running back Ben Tate today.

-That’s a clear sign that Bell will be limited or as I have predicted, will not play. Furthermore, it may speak volumes of how little confidence the team has in Josh Harris and/or Dri Archer.

-The fact that the Steelers are having having to bring in a running back this week shows both the lack of depth and the failure of GM Kevin Colbert to add proper depth following the release of LeGarrette Blount.

-Ben Roethlisberger, who battled the flu on Sunday night, should be good-to-go for Saturday night.

-The Steelers have won 21 division titles and have won the AFC North six times since 2002.

-The Steelers finished their primetime TV schedule 5-1 with their only loss coming in week two at Baltimore on a Thursday night.

-Pittsburgh is tied with Green Bay for most wins in the final week of the season since 2000. Both teams are 13-2.

-Here’s a question for you… Even if healthy, would you play Troy Polamalu or Ike Taylor?

-Other than Le’Veon Bell, the Steelers came through Sunday night pretty healthy which is extremely important on a short week.

-The 2014 team set records for most first downs, most points and most points at home in a single season.

-As best I can tell, the Mike Tomlin – Reggie Nelson spat following the game definitely had to do with the hit on Bell, but I think there’s more to it than what we know. Chances are we won’t get much further explanation on it.
