As we enter the final third of the WPIAL regular season, playoff races are starting to take shape and teams will begin to have opportunities to secure their spots in the postseason field. With the way the schedule is back-loaded with conference games this season, this will be the first week where any teams have the opportunity to clinch. For better or worse, the scheduling changes the WPIAL made has kept more teams in the race deeper into the season. - Armstrong clinches a playoff spot with a win over Highlands AND losses by Mars and Knoch

- North Catholic clinches a playoff spot with a win over Deer Lakes AND losses by Derry and Burrell
Interstate Conference
- The winner of Elizabeth Forward-Mt. Pleasant clinches a playoff spot IF South Park beats South Allegheny
Northwest Six Conference
- Central Valley clinches a playoff spot with a win over Ambridge AND losses by both Hopewell and Keystone Oaks
- Avonworth clinches a playoff spot with a win over Hopewell AND a Keystone Oaks loss
