TGIF Steelers’ Fans!

It is with great honor and excitement that I am announcing formally our “Quick Hitters” sponsor  for this season…. Jerome Bettis’ Grille 36! Every time you get ‘QH’ you’ll see the Grille 36 logo on the image. Throughout the season you’ll see us promote them on social media and here on the site as well. If you haven’t been to Grille 36 I suggest you get there. The food is outstanding and the view of both the confluence and Heinz Field is tremendous! Once again, we are proud to have their sponsorship!

The latest injury update… Ben Roethlisberger tweaked his ankle yesterday but he should be fine… Senquez Golson continues to watch the action but has gone on record as saying his injury is “not serious.”

Free agent wide receiver Justin Hunter continues to be the front runner for “camp phenom.” Mike Tomlin is very pleased but also suggests that Hunter, being in his fifth year, is doing things he’d expect from an experienced player. Again I stress, don’t go getting you ‘Hunter jersey’ just yet. His past suggests he starts out strong and fizzles out. Let’s hope he is a serious threat all season long.

Tweet of the Day… Yes it is and I hope more players realize this as well.

Like any other human being, there are players we like and players we don’t. The reasons are many but in the majority of cases, when we say we “don’t like a guy” we are talking about his play. Therefore, if said player signs a ton of autographs after practice, that is terrific. But it doesn’t suddenly make him a better football player in our eyes.

Le’Veon Bell went “private” on his Instagram. Likely tired of fans telling him to get his butt to Training Camp.

You may have noticed rookie linebacker Hassan Reddick playing inside linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals last night in then Hall of Fame Game. We suggested throughout the draft prep period for the Steelers that the Temple pass rusher would likely move inside.

Tonight is the annual Night Practice in Latrobe and right now the forecast is looking less than ideal. While that won’t keep the fans away, you should definitely stay tuned to steelers.com and the appropriate social media in case the team postpones or cancels the event.
