SCB 2017 NFL Predictions

by Ian

With the NFL season kicking off tomorrow night in New England, the crew of Steel City Blitz got together to give our predictions for the upcoming year. Four of our eight divisions had unanimous predictions for division champions while one division had all four teams selected as a potential winner. In the end though, only two different teams were predicted as AFC Champions and only three different teams predicted as NFC Champions. Feel free to leave your predictions in the comments and don’t forget to enter the special Nail The Number Season Prediction contest!

NFL MVP Predictions

SteelDad: Aaron Rodgers

He should win MVP for his ‘stache game alone

Ben: Ben Roethlisberger

Though not without controversy

Cnic:  David Johnson

I knew he’d be good ’cause I picked him on my Fantasy Team

GarmanRussell Wilson

A bit of a dark horse because of Seattle’s awful OL, but if they do as well as I have them doing, then Wilson will have had an MVP type year

Tay: Le’Veon Bell

For shits and giggles

Ian: Marcus Mariota

The Titans are easily the best team in the AFC South and Mariota finally has the weapons to have a monster year.

I have posted similar stuff on other sites but here’s in your guys ear. Jarvis Jones sucked from the start and all you homers that called MR. 4.99 forty a rocket off the edge. Learn from your mistake and quit being a HOMER he was never NFL material. And just because the Steelers drafted him didn’t change that. IN YOUR FACE I WAS RIGHT.

Bob, I’m curious as to who your addressing this to. I don’t recall ever writing anything positive about Jarvis, other than to say he was good in pursuit, but clearly miscast as a 3-4 OLB in Pittsburgh.

It was just a rant after seeing him being cut by the Cardinals. I didn’t really mean to target any one in particular. But i was confused at how many people defended him. To me it was clear that he was not NFL material ” and you can’t teach that”. If you screw up on draft day you have to let it go and move on. You don’t continually put out an inferior product just because he was a first rounder. As the saying goes you can’t polish a turd. He was clearly miscast as an NFL player.
