The Steelers went into Detroit on Sunday Night to put a punctuation mark on the first half of the season. With Martavis Bryant on the bench, rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster celebrated getting his stolen bike returned by putting on an absolute show in the Motor City. The defense gave up a ton of yards but buckled down in the red zone with multiple goal-line stands to force field goals and two forth down stops inside the 10. Here’s a look back at the best (and worst) of Twitter from the Steelers 20-15 win.
Here We Go Steelers chant erupts just before kickoff. I'm guessing 10,000 Steelers fans are in the building.

The Steelers drove easily down the filed but Eli Rogers dropped a touchdown pass on third down.
Rogers wide open…play call good…throw good…receiver execution…not so much 3-0 #Steelers

After holding the Lions to 3, Ben tried to force one to AB and it got picked off.
#roadben what was that triple coverage
— Matt (@matthewpcharles) October 30, 2017
Crap, ben floats one and picked by Quinn
— james cohen (@atogre_cohen) October 30, 2017
So many turnovers already this season
— E (@eileen_over) October 30, 2017
The defense stepped up and Heyward got a big sack to force a punt.
Heyward and Watt heads up with Glasgow and Mihalik, respectively, is … uh, advantage Pittsburgh.
— Chris Burke (@ChrisBurkeNFL) October 30, 2017
.@CamHeyward with career sack No. 30 – tying @bkeisel99 for the 3rd-most by a #Steelers d-lineman since sacks became an official stat in '82

Another Steelers sack (Heyward) with rushing just 4 guys

Jordan Berry vs. Sam Martin: Hell of a punter's duel so far.

Highlight of the game so far? "Nightmare on my Street" for the outro music.
— Curt Popejoy (@CurtPopejoySW) October 30, 2017
Wasn’t as good over on the pond either, apparently.
For those of you watching the Steelers game, Malkin just tried to fight two people at once. Things aren't going so well here.
— Josh Yohe (@JoshYohe_PGH) October 30, 2017
Hard to believe NFL ratings are down when we get to watch 8-play, 39-yard drives in 3:33, resulting in a 37-yard FG. Lions 6, Steelers 3.
— Kevin Gorman (@KGorman_Trib) October 30, 2017
Ben would hit a big pass to AB and the offense would wake up.
A RZ TD WHAT IS THIS DEVILRY
— Jon Ledyard (@LedyardNFLDraft) October 30, 2017
Le'Veon Bell is legit the only one that can pull that off
— Emory Hunt (@FBallGameplan) October 30, 2017
Running for a TD. Great idea. 10-6 good guys #HereWeGo

The offense started to pick up and continued to do good things in the two minute drill…
Antonio Brown is #good.
— Adam Crowley (@_adamcrowley) October 30, 2017
…until Le’Veon Bell shockingly fumbled on a 3rd and 1.
Le’Veon Bell fumbles on 3rd and 1 and the Lions take over with under a minute to go.
— Missi Matthews (@missi_matthews) October 30, 2017
ANOTHER wasted drive….two turnovers and a dropped TD pass.. leaving too many points on the field… #Steelers
— Bob Pompeani (@KDPomp) October 30, 2017

— RyanG'Thang (@GoodSee24) October 30, 2017
Le’Veon Bell….fumbles
Yeah. We’re shocked too.

Hitting more 3s than Steph Curry, the Lions take a 12-10 lead on the Steelers just before halftime
— Chris Adamski (@C_AdamskiTrib) October 30, 2017
The defense held the Lions out of halftime and a bad punt set the Steelers up near midfield. They drove into Lions territory with Ben just missing a wide open DHB in the end zone.
Fumble, INT, drop by Eli, Ben misses DHB. Goodness gracious.
— Adam Crowley (@_adamcrowley) October 30, 2017
Whoa, Ben. How does he miss that throw?
— Steelers Wire (@TheSteelersWire) October 30, 2017
AB caught a touchdown but got called for offensive pass interference
AB definitely pushed off, but Slay sold that one hard. #Steelers
— Josh Rowntree (@JRown32) October 30, 2017
Seahawks fans right now are not surprised at all that offensive pass interference was called to overturn a touchdown in Ford Field.
— The Steelers n'at (@thesteelersnat) October 30, 2017
Boswell banked home a field goal off the upright to re-take the lead.
I’m about to call my cardiologist after that https://t.co/yq9cWXYISz
— spooky tay bay ? (@aye_taybay) October 30, 2017
The Lions turned around and marched right back down the field but stood tall at the goal line and held on third down.
Way to go #Steelers
Love watching that redzone defense.

Rather than taking the lead with an easy field goal, the Lions opted to go for it on 4th and goal and Stafford got swarmed.

Requisite tweet: the longest play in Steelers history is 95 yards
— The Steelers n'at (@thesteelersnat) October 30, 2017
BUT NOT ANY MORE. On 3rd down Ben hit JuJu out of the slot right down the seam and JuJu was off to the races going 97 yards for the touchdown
JuJu's 97-yard touchdown is even better set to Queen's "Bicycle Race"… pic.twitter.com/D1NUUT2hdo

BEN hit on that throw !!

The Lions drove down the field again but the Steelers defense held the door at the goal line.
Stuffed again ??
— Scott Salerno (@sasalerno) October 30, 2017
The Steelers stuff Washington again. 4th and goal
— SteelerNation (@SteeIerNation) October 30, 2017
The Lions kicked a field goal this time.
Smart of the Lions to kick it there. JuJu has probably caught his breath by now.
— Bill Crawford (@dveBillCrawford) October 30, 2017
You kick a FG at the 2-yard line down by 8 in the 4th quarter and you lose the right to tell me that you care about winning above all else.
— Football Perspective (@fbgchase) October 30, 2017
The Steelers went 3-and-out on a weird series.
Rosie Nix again an outside receiver. In the 4th quarter. With a lead.
— Chris Adamski (@C_AdamskiTrib) October 30, 2017
Juju drops a 3rd down catch that would have been an easy first down. That would have been huge. #Steelers
— David Todd (@DavidMTodd) October 30, 2017
The Lions were moving the ball before Golden Tate fumbled while running with the ball and Artie Burns recovered.
I’m ready to receive a turnover.
— PartlySonny (@TheTerribleBlog) October 30, 2017
First JuJu then Tate. Weird end of both drives.
— Brian (@Spcbll_1) October 30, 2017
Really awful unforced error there by Tate.
— Scott Kacsmar (@FO_ScottKacsmar) October 30, 2017
That’s why the Lions are the Lions. What a gift.
— Paul Zeise (@PaulZeise) October 30, 2017
Well, that was an absolute gift.
— Ian Whetstone (@IanWhetstone) October 30, 2017
The Steelers were able to wind some clock but couldn’t get past midfield and punted it back to the Lions. The defense couldn’t stop the Lions passing game and they were quickly back inside the 10.
How many blown coverages is that today?
— Ray Fittipaldo (@rayfitt1) October 30, 2017
Keep rushing three. Keep getting carved up.
— Craig McConnell (@craigpmcconnell) October 30, 2017
Stafford is SHREDDING Steelers 8-man zone and Butler still sending 3. Ridiculous
— Jon Ledyard (@LedyardNFLDraft) October 30, 2017
The defense stood tall and forced a 4th down as the clock hit two minutes.
Way to go D
— Charlie Batch (@CharlieBatch16) October 30, 2017
Lions Twitter was thrilled by the third down call.
I was wondering how the Lions would blow this. Bad audible to draw play was lower on the list but it suffices
— Jeff Risdon (@JeffRisdon) October 30, 2017
Jim Bob Cooter just ran a draw with Theo Riddick on 3rd and 5 in the red zone. pic.twitter.com/x6Cru17jor
— Kent Lee Platte (@MathBomb) October 30, 2017
Javon Hargrave got pressure on 4th down and Stafford threw it right into Ryan Shazier’s hands. Shazier dropped the pick but got the turnover on downs.
Turnover on downs! Almost intercepted by Ryan Shazier!
— SteelerNation (@SteeIerNation) October 30, 2017
The defense HAS SAVED THIS GAME #HEREWEGO
— Joey Bag Of Donuts (@joeybagovdonuts) October 30, 2017
Shazier had six points if he makes that play.
— Chris G. (@ChrisG_PIT) October 30, 2017
The Steelers red zone defense ???
— Karlo Zovko (@Kzovko) October 30, 2017
With under two minutes to go, all the Steelers had to do was bleed the Lions out of timeouts by running the ball, but they tried to be too smart and throw. Thankfully, they got bailed out by a timely pass interference.
saved by the flag.
— Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN) October 30, 2017
Penalty just bailed out some horrific playcalling. Game over.
— SuckMeter (@SuckMeter) October 30, 2017
The Steelers were finally able to conquer the 3rd and 1 monster with a shovel pass to JuJu to seal it.
Nifty little call to seal it.
— Chris Mueller (@ChrisMuellerPGH) October 30, 2017
Kinda fitting JuJu seals it
— Michael DeCourcy (@tsnmike) October 30, 2017
I’m used to seeing the Steelers have to overcome their own mistakes. I’m not used to non-Cleveland opponents doing that work for them.
— Ian Whetstone (@IanWhetstone) October 30, 2017
Ohhhhhhhhh that shovel pass call right there, oh my.
I have warm fuzzies
— Blitzburgh Brian (@blitzburghblog1) October 30, 2017
Ok ok ok. It was ugly. But, 6-2, here we are
— Axel Trolley (@Phaze215) October 30, 2017
6-2. Tied for first in conference at the halfway point. But … the Patriots aren’t gonna settle for FGs. $92 mil O needs to get going on 2H
