Three Questions With…. @SportsMel

by Steeldad

After a brief hiatus, I’m back with my feature ‘Three Questions With….’ which is an opportunity for me to ask journalists, draft gurus, radio personalities and a variety of fans questions about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Today’s guest is a long-time follower of mine on Twitter (and I of her) who can hold her own in any sports-related discussion and especially about the Steelers. She not only works her butt off at one job but comes home to work on her second which is aptly named ‘Momma Mel’s’ where she kicks out everything from wedding cakes to cupcakes and does so brilliantly! Give her a follow @SportsMel on Twitter.

SCB: What is your greatest Steelers’ memory and how old were you?

Mel: “Opening Day against the Texans. Went to Heinz with a lot of family including my uncle from Houston who is a Pittsburgh fan. Loved spending that moment with my family. I was 32.”

SCB: What is your standard response when someone rips on the Steelers?

Mel: “No team is perfect but the tradition, history and class of this organization speaks for itself.”

SCB: What is your outlook on the Steelers this year? Plan to go to any games?

Mel: “I haven’t seen enough to make a prediction on the year yet… If we can stay healthy we always have a chance especially with #7 leading the team. I have no games planned yet but that will most likely change.”
