SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “Watt Side is He On?” Edition

Ben Roethlisberger

Good Wednesday to you Steelers’ Fans!

One of the major topics on the Steel City Blitz Steelers Podcast Presented by 26shirts.com/Pittsburgh last night was the “Switch.” I’m speaking about the decision to flip Bud Dupree and T.J.Watt. At first glance this appears to be more about Dupree having the opportunity to come from the blindside of the quarterback. But Watt has also gone on record as saying he prefers coming from the left. We’ll dive into this more this week but give the podcast a listen for some great stuff.

Should I mention again what a complete moron David Carr is? I have no problem if an “expert” doesn’t view Ben Roethlisberger as one of the best QBs but to not even have him in the top ten? Furthermore, he had Jimmy Garoppolo who has started FIVE games ahead of Big Ben. Perhaps all of those sacks Carr took in his career impacted his head.

Tweet of the Day… I had heard actor Paul Rudd was a Steelers’ fan but this is pretty awesome!

I learned a long time ago that if I’m not 100% positive about issues regarding player contracts then I keep my mouth shut. There are major differences between average per year, the cap hit, guaranteed money etc. Not enough fans realize this.

If you haven’t seen the latest shirt from 26shirts.com/Pittsburgh then I’ve added a photo at left. It is easily one of my favorite ones and I’m not even a huge ‘Game of Thrones’ fan. It incorporates all of the city’s major sport trophies.

Do not be one of those fans who are freaking out over Antonio Brown working out with Cam Newton. AB works out with TONS of guys. In other words, nothing to see here.

Pretty high praise from Mike Tomlin last week for rookie James Washington. Tomlin said he believes Washington is in as good of shape as any rookie he’s seen. This is always one of the biggest hurdles for NFL rooks. They rarely are as prepared as they need to be when they enter Training Camp.

Have a great day Steeler Nation!
