SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “Superstitious” Edition

by Steeldad

Good Thursday to you Steelers’ Fans!

Some of you have no problem admitting just how superstitious you are when it comes to the Steelers. Others, have no superstitious beliefs at all. Of course the third category are those people who are very superstitious yet aren’t willing to admit it. Some of us have to wear the same Steelers’ jersey or hat while others can’t shift their drink over to the table until something bad happens. Trust me, you’re far from abnormal. In fact, I would be more concerned about you as a Steelers’ fan if you DIDN’T have some superstitious quirks.

No, I’m not revealing mine…

Do not be alarmed by Le’Veon Bell and Ben Roethlisberger not practicing yesterday. These were planned days off. Do be alarmed by Sean Davis being limited with a shoulder injury. We’ll keep an eye on this.

Speaking of Davis, he was one of several guys who wasn’t on the field when the Steelers beat the Chiefs in October. Ryan Shazier and Bud Dupree were both on the sidelines as well. Of course Cam Heyward played a huge role in that victory and he’s out. Regardless, this defense has come a long way since then.

Tweet of the Day… Congrats indeed! Furyk is the new Ryder Cup Captain

Chiefs’ Coach Andy Reid is 11-11 all-time in the playoffs and is 1-2 with Kansas City. One stat many are pointing too though is Reid’s 16-2 record coming off bye weeks. Now to be fair, that’s a regular season stat, but does illustrate Reid’s ability to get his team prepared.

Good conversation yesterday with Tony via our Facebook page. I learn from you guys as much as you do from me so feel free to comment any time!

Odd how things change over the course of a season huh? In the earlier game with the Chiefs, Sammie Coates led the Steelers with six receptions. Markus Wheaton also had one catch for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Have a great day Steeler
