SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “One Hot Chip” Edition

Good Thursday to you Steelers’ Fans!

If you want to see how effective pop culture phenomenons are then look no further than an NFL locker room. From Facebook Live to the latest trending styles, the locker room is a good place to start. The Steelers are no different and yesterday the #OneChipChallenge made its’ way into the Black and Gold’s territory. If you aren’t familiar, this tortilla chip is made from some of the hottest peppers on the planet. Here are some social media posts from Cam Heyward..

I’m very pleased to tell you the injury report from yesterday is quite short. James Harrison did not practice with a back injury and Mike Mitchell was limited with an Achilles. That’s great news considering Marcus Gilbert’s hamstring injury is thought to be problematic all season.

I’m all for looking ahead and stuff but the articles I’m seeing already about the Steelers going after Kirk Cousins or Alex Smith or Andrew Luck are a bit over the top. Can we at least wait until Ben Roethlisberger actually decides he isn’t returning before we thrown dirt on his grave?

The voting for our “Nevahbeen” Contest is underway. We have three great people who are more than worthy of this opportunity to go to Heinz Field for the first time. Please click the link, watch the videos and vote.

In Jerry Jones’ war against Roger Goodell, Steelers’ fans have to keep something in mind. While Dan Rooney was instrumental in Goodell getting the Commissioner’s job, that doesn’t mean that current Team President Art Rooney II is a big fan of Goodell’s. In fact, I’ve learned that that may indeed be the case. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Jones is acting like a bratty kid who didn’t get his way at recess. Was he this upset during Spygate? Bountygate? Deflategate? or any other major issue? No, because now it involves his team. He is yet another reason to dislike the Cowboys.

The Colts’ top defensive back Vontae Davis will not play Sunday. Their pass defense is already ranked 31st in the NFL. Is this a good week for Big Ben to get things going? Considering his recent past against Indy why in the hell not?

Have a great day Steeler Nation!
