SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “LB to the Hoop” Edition

It’s Tuesday Steelers’ Fans and that really has no significance so let’s go!

During the OTAs and mini-camp held recently in Pittsburgh, one glaring absence was of course Le’Veon Bell. The reason for his not being there came down to one of two things. Either he was still re-habbing from his March groin surgery or he was holding out for a long-term contract. Bell recently posted a tweet that shows him strongly taking the basketball to the hole making one think that he certainly isn’t “re-habbing” anymore now is he? To be fair, I don’t know how long he was laid up after the surgery but on the surface, it doesn’t look real good. It makes one paying attention to think his absence was more due to money than a rehabilitation.

Speaking of Bell, he will be the major focal point of our podcast coming up Thursday night. As always we are Sponsored by 26shirts.com/Pittsburgh!

Another possible topic may be former Steelers’ tight end Wes Saunders. He has made it pretty clear via social media that he wants to get another shot with Pittsburgh. Is he just a passionate guy fighting for his dream or has he become annoying?

Tweet of the Day… Never change VWill

If you’re into the NFL Network’s ‘Top 100 Players’ crap then you may be interested to know that Bell came in at #9 and Antonio Brown at #4. This list is about as accurate as a North Korean missile.

Great stuff from steelers.com on John Stallworth. He was so fun to watch with those long strides and graceful athleticism…

In what might be the worst thing you see this week, someone at the Post-Gazette has linked athletes in Pittsburgh to Harry Potter.

We are still in the midst of some website changes at SCB. Hoping to have them done over the course of the next couple of weeks. I’m hoping to bring you a more streamlined and visual experience!

Have a great day Steeler Nation!
