TGIF Steelers’ Fans and what great Friday it is!

It may just be the preseason but it’s still football. It’s football with pads on and helmets on and with actual uniforms! It doesn’t mean a damn thing in terms of wins and losses but don’t ever say it doesn’t mean anything. There’s a lot of young men who are fighting tooth and nail for a spot on this Steelers’ team so ya, it has some meaning! It’s gameday!!

Starting next week I’ll be bringing back the game preview we call the “Three-Point Stance.” This is our major, weekly preview filled with everything you need to know for that week’s game. Everything from analysis to wagering to our fearless predictions. Check it out each week!

Martavis Bryant traveled with the team yesterday to New York, errrrrrr, New Jersey for tonight’s game but as of this writing there is little expectation that he plays.

Tweet of the Day… I think I know who lost.

One positional battle that has emerged as really good is taking place at running back. With Le’Veon Bell and James Conner locks, there is a fierce competition going on with Fitzgerald Toussaint, Knile Davis and Terrell Watson. I expect Davis, because of his kick returning ability to be the third or even second running back but the other backs are not going to make it easy.

I’m glad the Steelers are playing late in week one of the preseason. The reason is that we’ve already had some good lessons on “overreactions.” While Mitch Tribusky and Deshaun Watson had very nice debut performances let’s remember this is one game. Furthermore, teams don’t gameplan for each in the preseason either so let’s make sure we don’t go overboard one way or another after tonight huh?

Enjoy the game and have a great weekend Steeler Nation!
