TGIF Steelers’ Fans which in this case means one day closer to gameday!
I laid this out last night but I’ll mention it here again. Saturday night could prove to be a big night for James Conner. As of right now he’s scheduled to play with the starting unit against what we can only assume is first team defense of the Colts. If he plays well and shows he can be as successful as he was against third and fourth team guys last week then the Steelers will realize what they have. Granted, it’s still the preseason and it’s just one game but it goes a long way towards life without Le’Veon Bell should it eventually come to that.
Until Colin Kaepernick makes a comment about whether or not he actually wants to continue playing football I’m done talking about it.
Very curious to see L.J. Fort again Saturday night. He was the most active defensive player by far in the win against Atlanta. I think he makes the roster either way but his ability to cover is what I find intriguing.

Lots of Steelers’ Fans down there along the Texas Gulf Coast and many friends of mine as well. Best wishes to all of them as they battle Hurricane Harvey.
Javon Hargrave reportedly had a concussion during Sunday’s game but he disputed that. Hargrave said he was in protocol but did not have a concussion. How much he plays tomorrow night could give us an idea of his condition.
While this particular preseason has had few real position battles going on the contest between Anthony Chickillo and Arthur Moats is a great one. If we assume one will not make the roster then both are giving it everything they have. Each has two sacks but the advantage has to be with Chick. He plays special teams and he’s cheaper. Keep an eye on both vs the Colts.
Lastly, Le’Veon Bell apparently has a new song out called “Sayonara.” I’m biting my tongue here people… I’m just not going to say anything. That is all.
