SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters The “Thanksgiving 2016” Edition

by Steeldad

Happy Thanksgiving Steelers’ Fans! Today’s issue will be a little different. I’ll have the usual news, opinion and analysis but I’m offering some thanks to many people as well.

Steelers’ practice squad player Karlos Williams was hit with a 10-game suspension yesterday for failing a drug test. As of this writing the Steelers have yet to issue an action or comment. While his signing was very low risk and high reward it isn’t a good look for the Steelers. They already have two high-profile players in Le’Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant who’ve embarrassed the organization. Maybe someday marijuana will be OK’ed by the league but until then it’s still against the rules fellas.

Huge thank you’s to our two major sponsors BodyTech Gym and Shealer Chiropractic. It’s important to me that our sponsors are in the Burgh and these two fit the bill!

I’m not sugar-coating this. The Steelers need to win big tonite. The Colts are without their QB. They have the worst offensive line in the NF and their secondary is banged up. Yes, a win no matter how it happens is the goal but let’s be real here right?

Huge thank you to Craig Scott. I’m convinced he’s Santa Claus but he claims otherwise.

Here’s our game preview for tonight with prediction.

Thank you to all of you who make Steel City Blitz a regular stop on your way around the Steelers’ web.  I do this out of passion but that doesn’t happen without all of you.

Tweet of the Day… Charlie gives back like a champion

Ladarius Green has looked nothing like he did when he played in San Diego last year but I’m hoping that changes today. Todd Haley said he’s “been on a pitch count” to this point but he’s under no such limitations tonight. Seeing him break out would be a huge advantage for this offense.

I thought the outside linebacker rotation last week was really good. It allowed guys to get into some nice grooves rather than have constant in and out.

I’m expecting the Colts to run a lot of play-action with backup quarterback Scott Tolzien getting the start. He did a lot of that at Wisconsin and it’s a strength. Plus they will have to hope that slows the Steelers’ pass rush.

There are many of you who deserve thanks for your consistent interaction with me on Twitter. Some of you guys retweet our stuff daily and I’m grateful. I wish I could list all of you here but I’d forget someone and I don’t want to do that.

Have a great Thanksgiving Steeler Nation! Thanks to all of you from the crew at SCB!
