The Steelers will hold practice today from 1pm-3pm Eastern as they prepare for the Panthers on Sunday Night.

-Troy Polamalu, Brett Keisel and Heath Miller were all given the day off from practice on Wednesday. There were not injury-related.

-Limited practice participants were Dri Archer and Ramon Foster who both have ankle issues.

-Full participants were Lance Moore, Martavis Bryant and Steve McLendon.

-Key injuries listed for the Carolina Panthers included

-As much as I don’t want to make a big deal about it I’m going to make a big deal about it. Ben Roethlisberger told Dejan Kovacevic today that he’s still sore from the shot he took a week ago tonight from Baltimore’s Courtney Upshaw. That’s not good because this is an area Big Ben has hurt before. With a struggling offensive line facing a really good Panthers’ front seven, I’m very concerned about Roethlisberger’s health right now.

-The two guys that concern me the most on that Carolina defense are the tackles Dwan Edwards and Star Lotulelei. They gave the Lions fits on Sunday and Edwards has already collected 2.5 sacks this season.

-Not sure if we’ll see Martavis Bryant at all on offense Sunday Night but I’m curious either way to see how they use him.

-In case you missed it, former Steeler Jonathan Dwyer was arrested yesterday for domestic violence. He is being charged with crimes against both his 27-year old girlfriend and their 18-month old son.

-I’m speechless as far as that last item….

-Thanks to Dejan Kovacevic for adding us to his blog roll on his fantastic new site dkonpittsburghsports.com. I consider this the ultimate sign of respect because no one covers Pittsburgh sports like DK does.
