by Steeldad

As usual the players are off today.

-Coach Tomlin press conference will be held at Noon Eastern today. You can catch it on steelers.com or ROOT Sports.

-I’m calling this the “record breaking” edition of Quick Hitters because of all that went down on Sunday in the win over Atlanta. Let’s get started…

Ben Roethlisberger

-Recorded his eighth 300-yard game of the season. Previous record was his at five.

-Now stands at 4,415 yards passing which breaks his previous season high of 4,328 set in 2009.

-Had his 65th game with a passer rating above 100. The Steelers are 58-7 when he does that.

-Became one of six quarterbacks to defeat 31 teams in a career joining Favre, P. Manning, Brady, Brees, and Kerry Collins.

Antonio Brown

-Becomes just the fifth player in NFL History to record back-to-back seasons of 110 catches or higher. He joins Wes Welker, Jerry Rice and Chris Carter.

-His streak of five receptions in a game has reached 30.

-He needs one yard to break his record for receiving yards in a year in Pittsburgh. He stands at 1,498.

-Has set a new record for catches in a season with 115 surpassing Hines Ward’s 112.

-Is the first Steeler in history to reach 1,400 yards receiving in a season through 14 games.

-Now owns the NFL record of five receptions and at least 70 yards receiving in a game streak which stands at 16 straight games.

Le’Veon Bell

-Became the first Steeler to score five touchdowns over a two-game span since Eric Green in 1990.

-His 2,138 yards rushing in two seasons is the most by any player in team history over a two year span.

-Sets the season record for receiving yards in a season by a Steeler running back with 765.

-Becomes the first Steeler to reach 2,000 yards from scrimmage in a season.

-Sets record for most receptions by a running back in a season with 76.

The Steelers are now in position to earn a playoff berth with a win Sunday over Kansas City. Wins in theri final two games will give them the AFC North Division Title.
