SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “Let It Snow” Edition

by Steeldad

Good morning Steelers’ Fans!

As you would expect this time of year the weather forecast in Buffalo on Sunday includes temps around 31 degrees and snow is expected. With the number one ranked rushing offense, you’d think this would be right up the Bills’ alley. Factor in that LeSean McCoy once ran for 217 yards in a snowstorm in Philadelphia and you might think the Steelers are in a spot of trouble. While I do expect the Bills to have to some success, this will still come down to forcing the Bills into long yardage situations on second and third down. One way or another, both teams will have to deal with the elements so I say, “Let it snow.”

Latest injury news… Did Not Practice- Boswell (abdomen), Foster (chest), Green (not injury related), Hargrave (concussion), Heyward-Bey (foot), Mettenberger (illness), Thomas (concussion), D. Williams (knee) Bills: LB Lerentee McRay (concussion)

I think it’s safe to say Randy Bullock will likely be kicking for the second straight week. Even if Boswell practices fully today, he needs to prove he can do everything necessary and that means field goals from 45 yards out or more.

The Javon Hargrave injury is the one that concerns me the most to be honest. The Steelers’ defensive line is already weak and if he can’t go I have serious concerns about being able to shut down the Bills’ running attack.

SCB contributor Chris had some thoughts on the defense heading into Buffalo.

Tweet of the Day… If you love dogs….

The NFL announced today that next season they will be playing four games in London. That’s most ever after three were played there this season. Looking ahead to the Steelers’ opponents in 2017, they do have Jacksonville but that game is scheduled to be at home so I’m hoping the Steelers do not have to head across the pond again.

Furthermore, why can’t the league just go ahead and move the Jags there? It’s coming so let’s just get it over with shall we?

Know who has the most receiving yards in any one game against the Bills in Steelers’ history? Weegie Thompson!

Have a terrific weekend Steeler Nation and Go Steelers!!
