SCB Steelers’ Quick Hitters: The “Hey! Where’s Art?” Edition

Good Tuesday to you Steelers’ Fans!

Pittsburgh Steelers’ President Art Rooney II has been noticeably absent so far in this offseason. Granted, the actual offseason is only a day old but it’s been over for several weeks for the Black and Gold and I for one want to hear from the man in charge. I don’t expect to hear anything overly newsworthy but since he once stated he needed to “tweak” Ben Roethlisberger’s I figure he has to be thinking about something right? After seeing his once proud defense get shredded and then no changes to the staff, I’m curious like many of you are about just what he is thinking. I fully expect that when he does speak his words will be carefully chosen and he’ll be sure not to give away too much but his Steeler Nation is hurting and asking for some answers. And you can be darned sure he knows it. Now if only he’d tell us!

I’m going to go on record today. I do not believe Le’Veon Bell will be a Steeler in 2018. With what the Steelers are already paying Big Ben and Antonio Brown (and with a defense that needs help) I think they tag him and find a trade partner. The only way he stays in Pittsburgh is if the teams tags him and no deal can be worked out. The money he turned down last year won’t be close to what he will demand now and I just can’t pay a running back that much cash.

Cnic got us started with our Draft Prospect Profiles. Here is his take on Oklahoma Tight End Mark Andrews.

Tweet of the Day… The greatness….

There is and will continue to be a lot of talk about why the Patriots did not play Malcolm Butler didn’t play on defense Sunday night. Several teammates have taken up for him on social media which is very “un-Patriot-like” but I also think there’s another angle. Bill Belichick isn’t the “hoodie genius” for nothing. He likes to prove how smart he is like many other coaches and I can’t help but wonder if he felt he would “prove” the experts wrong by making such a radical personnel change.

And then there’s this…. In Ray Fittapaldo’s weekly chat, one guy has already started to criticize new Offensive Coordinator Randy Fichtner for his play-calling in the Pro Bowl. Dear Lord, please… Please help us!!!!

Have a great day Steeler Nation
